Espurr
This is an excerpt from a review of Pokemon X, and it inspired this comic.
The Pokémon world is without a doubt a cartoony and pleasant place filled with generally pleasing Poké people. Its neighbors and friends promote ideals of fairness and being kind to everyone and everything around you. But it also boasts an Eastern-influenced fantasy mindset (mysticism) and ever-evolving (in some cases demonic-looking) creatures.

Breaking Bad: Revised
Hello dear readers,
Last week I post a comic about breaking bad (see below). It was posted with the caption "This is why I won't watch Breaking Bad". At the time of the comics creation I had never seen an episode of Breaking Bad. and in the two weeks between creation and posting, not only did I cave and start watching the show, I also watched EVERY SINGLE EPISODE from pilot to Finale. This show truly is the most addicting TV show of all time. Don't start watching it or you'll get hooked and you'll lose whole days. Kinda like meth addiction. Anyway, congrats to Vince Gilligan on all his awards, and I look forward to your next project.

Remember 9/11
12 years ago today an attack was
made on this nation. Four planes were hijacked by terrorist. Two were sent careening into
the World Trade Center buildings. One was flown into the Pentagon, and the
fourth was crashed by the brave passengers of the flight, who overtook the
terrorist and sacrificed their lives to save many others. This act of terror sent our nation into a
state of panic, we rushed into a war which was drawn out, and misguided. Yes,
some good did come out of the war by means of the deaths of terrorist leaders
that headed up the attacks, yet many American soldiers have been taken from us
by this, and many innocent civilians were caught in the cross hairs.
Now we stand at the precipice of
another war. I beseech our leaders, do not continue the violence. 12 years of
war is enough. We need time to let our wounds heal, and sending our people back
into the fray will in no way help us get over the pain of the previous round of
violence. We have seen what happens when
we try to force ourselves on these people. They reject us and it will only cause
more bloodshed. These people will fight each other no matter what we do, and
giving them weapons will only make the death toll rise. It is best we keep
ourselves out of the spot light. I call for the US to fade into the background, and
stop being this planet's police force. We don’t even have our own house in
order; we have no right telling other countries what is right.
I know that, even after over a
decade, it can still seem like yesterday those twin towers fell, but we should
memorialize, move on, and focus on those who had deep personal loss that day. I
dedicate this post to the friends and families of the thousands of civilians, the first
responders, and the passengers of the hijacked flights. This is a time we
should come together around these people, not the war room.
